Week on the Workbench

This week on our club members workbenches.

First, club member Steve's latest purchase is this Hornby Peckett 0-6-0 to which he will be adding DCC sound to.

Second, club member Will is scratch building an LNER austerity brake van. These had concrete floors for weight rather than steel due to the short supply due to the the war effort. So successful was this design of brake van that BR used it for there BR standard brake van with minor differences.
