WILLIAMSON RIVER
HO Scale - Canadian/USA
UNDER CONSTRUCTION
Williamson River, representing an end of a freight spur, somewhere in British Columbia, Canada.
As is common place in Canada, trees are chopped down with branches removed, logs are floated down the river and are collected from the water at the transfer point and then loaded onto freight cars and transported to a local saw mill. The Williamson River Trading Co has a large warehouse by the riverside for storage and distribution. You can also find a small mine, dating back to the early 20th century that has is still producing minerals. These are transported away by rail for processing.
The elevated line clinging to the hillside carries passenger services to and from the City, keep an eye out for Budd Railcars passing by.
Freight trains are operated by Canadian National, Canadian Pacific and BC Rail.
Williamson River is named memory of the late Gregor Williamson, misdeed friend and former chair of Cupar & District Model Railway Club.
The "New" Williamson River is booked to attend Falkirk 2023 and
is also booked to attend the Warley National Model Railway Show in 2023.
