Camberwick

OO Scale - British

The layout transports visitors to a bygone era when steam locomotives dominated the tracks, and rural life thrived along the railway lines. The layout replicates a country station, complete with a terminus platform, storage sidings, goods shed, livestock loading point, small engine shed, and a rail-connected industrial building. The terminus platform is the hub of activity, where passengers and goods flow seamlessly, and the details, such as wooden benches, lampposts, and flower pots, create an inviting atmosphere.

The livestock loading point is where cows, sheep, and other livestock are loaded onto awaiting trains. The ramps, holding pens, and handlers provide a realistic touch. A small engine shed, reminiscent of a classic Great Western structure, performs maintenance on locomotives when not in use. Additionally, there is a water tower and coal supply area.

The goods shed at Camberwick is an essential component for the efficient movement of freight. It features a covered loading dock that ensures goods are sorted and loaded onto awaiting trains.

Visitors can witness crates, barrels, and other cargo being loaded and unloaded, recreating the busy atmosphere of a working railway station. The rail-connected industrial building allows for the seamless transfer of goods between the railway and the industry it serves.
