Cupar Model Rail 2022

After a two year absence, Cupar & District Model Railway Club held its annual model railway ahow on Saturday 23rd & Sunday 24th July 2022. 



The show was held in the towns Corn Exchange with 15 working model railway layouts (including 3 from the Cupar club), LEGO Railway, demos and more. 



A special diorama of Cupar Station was on show as part of the 175th anniversary of the railway coming to Cupar. 




Two trophies were presented over the weekend in memory of club members. “The Bill Scobie Memorial Trophy for Modelling Excellence” was presented to Renfrewshire MRC for there layout “Crianlarich”. 



“The Williamson Wherret trophy“ was decided by public vote and was won by Perth MRG for the Irish layout “Old Blarney”. 



Attendance to the show was up compared to 2019 with visitors of all ages enjoying the exhibition. We even had two visitors all the way from Western Australia.
