An M7 conversion to a NBR Drummond G8
Current on the workbench among many other repaints and scratch builds is a Drummond G8 conversion. Using an M7 as a base I've started to remove detailing to the boiler and tanks.
Also currently removed the cab and tender to be shortened. The foot plate has been shortened but this it's self has its problems as the rear bogie now needs moving forward but 5mm easy job and will post photos of the on going work.
The cab has also been made thinner as as with a lot of Scottish locomotives the cabs were stepped in the same will happen with the bunker and tool box added the M7 although different is a very good locomotive to start from as it was also designed by Drummond when he worked for the southern railway this model is also great for a conversion to a Caledonian 419 class
