Come with us and visit South Road Junction and Greenside. This OO Gauge DCC layout is owned by club member Bob which he has at home.
The layout commenced Sept 2008 and was never intended to be the detailed article it is now although still work to do , the sound loco was only to be couple of steam and a couple of Diesels now almost all are fitted , liked the idea of a small depot in the early 60's on the Scottish/English border with a single track branch going from SOUTH Rd Jct to Greenside which had been terminated there in the fifties.
The stock is steam and green , the operating system (DCC) is digitrax and DS64 point modules The turntable is Heljan dcc operated Dapol signals currently fitting track sensors for the through tracks to operate the mainline signals, the electrics have been devised and fitted by Steve Caird Newburgh Model Rail Specialist. Sounds are mainly Zimo from Youchoos and Digitrains with a few Hornby TTS .
